Quote:Well the tape will work just as well with spray paint or hairspray or whatever. It does make it a crapload easier to take the old ones off. The petrol will do the same as the paint I would have thought, more or less. Its the tape makes the difference at the other end of the grip’s life.
June 2, 2009 at 11:24 pm #137861I think my Bunnings electrical tape must be inferior to the southern stuff Ecks, as i did just that and 10 minutes into the last ride “hello” twin throttles, and my daughters hairspray must be eco-friemdly as for the first time that’s not working either???

June 2, 2009 at 11:29 pm #137867June 2, 2009 at 11:43 pm #137869just used the scotts grip glue you can buy from the shop that takes all our money. That tape idea sounds like a winner will have to remember that if I ever change grips again.I used the tie wire to assist with holding them in place.

Must admit Blue, I use the good stuff, not the cheap version. Hate the twin throttles!

Boony if you run your bark busters down at that angle they will do nothing for you should you clip at tree will they? They need to be level horizontal, if they are angled they will just spin down if the are level they have less chance of going around the bars wont they, they still protect your levers and your hands

June 3, 2009 at 7:13 am #137971Ok off to the shed to rectify that issue real soon.. thank you for you assistance, so run them horizontal to the ground no matter what angle my levers are at…is that what I`m hearing TB
June 3, 2009 at 7:20 am #137972Yeh I was also going to pick you up on that Boony:laugh: The angle of your levers should be positioned to what is comfortable when your arms are straight, depending whether you sit or stand mostly when riding.
