Help with Site Running Costs

Hi All, We have added a donation button on the left if you can help out at all with the running costs it would be much appreciated, as you all know as the site keeps growing the costs keep going up, We have self funded for the last 3.5 years, but now is getting to a point where it is getting expensive. So any amount is appreciated. We are at the point know where we need to raise 2.5 – 3k per year.

Can i suggest doing 2 or 3 fun poker run ride days through out the year. Say one in sunny corner area, wauchope, Coffs, stroud and so on. Where you would be charged a $20 “fee” to ride in it and have some fun and keep this awesome site running?

Also i am working on some Sticker option along with TB and maybe if we could charge say $3 or something like that to raise money?

Yeah like Chris has said it’s getting more expensive all the time. It’s a paypal donation thing, it’s anonymous and appreciated. ANYTHING helps
It will help us keep the lights on without adds in the middle of posts and pages etc. Thanks to everybody here that helps make it such an awesome web site.

Good Idea but once we start charging then it becomes a whole new ball game, I for one can’t afford a fancy solicitor.

I still have some shirts left I will dig them out and post sizes left maybe someone might want one for a christmas present.

Great idea but as soon as money and riding is involved it’s a mine field.
Stickers we will sell for sure there are some others things we will do. We have never ever made a cent for ourselves here, it’s not what we or OBT is about. Thanks for your support in advance

Why don’t we run a charity auction for ourselves once a year. We could post the prizes up so even if you were not there in person you could still nominate a high bid.

Funny you mention that, there has been talk this morning already regarding the and we are going to have a major Old Bull site auction every year at the birthday ride in May King. There will be phone bidding and prizes will be posted up the week before so people not attending can check them out

And a percentage of any $$$ raised for charity could be used to run our site too I think :whistle:
Afterall, without the site, the rides that raise the coin for the charities wouldn`t be run in the first place ,,,

I will be donating to the cause after Xmas anyway

A special thanks to those that have donated so far, a long way off but a good start, I am keeping a running total so will let you know when we have enough, as donations are anonymous I won’t be saying who gave what where how or whatever, but be assured it is appreciated you know who you are
