Could revive cloth patches that we all love collecting after a ride?

I’d pay $25 for the privilege of doing the ride and having a patch to prove it. Get me a shirt too..

I have some cloth patches left that Rob400 donated, come on a ADV ride and we can sort it out

Paying in advance to go on a ride exposes the site or organiser, (not that these rides are organised), but donating after the event is simply an expression of appreciation.
If you attend a ride and have a great time, enjoy the ride report and want to give back to the site, then contribute financially so that it can happen again. If it happens post ride then the liability does not exist and what the ride was worth to you is based only on the fun you had. Just keep in mind what it costs to attend a professionally guided weekend from one of the established companies. For two days you are looking at around $400. If you attend an OBT ride and have a great time, then contribute what you think it was worth. Your donation would be anonymous but I can not see why we could not announce weeks after a ride that Murphs grade 5 raised 500 bucks for the site or that the boys from the ranges achieved 2k for their Nundle extravaganza.

What about a new patch to make the brand motif design as a common background of a fast on-coming bike, deep corner… either on-road knee-down, or off-road sideways on the pegs standing, but all the time a common theme of the winding road left behind in the distance between mountains..

I was only thinking today about this.

What if lets say someone (leadrider) sold you a $10 red or green dot sticker because you wanted one and he had them. Then after the ride he donated the money to OB’s.

You wouldnt normally buy a dot sticker from anyone (unless your mad) for $10 but there’s nothing stopping you from doing that. Then leadrider can donate for no reason (cause he’s a good bloke). I cant see how the sh*t could hit the fan if done like this.

The dot stickers are cheap as.

    just a thought

2000 members, if we all put in $3 each we would have it all covered, in a perfect world its as easy as that.

Some will pay $10, some will pay $100 and some will pay sweet FA cause they don’t see why they should have to pay to ride when they can go out and ride for free.

$3 a year to have a website at our finger tips to hook up for rides in our own area or beyond or even interstate. $3 to get advice on how to fix your bike or advice on what gear is the go. $3 to be able to put shit on 250 riders or get in on the 2T 4T banter

What about $10 each ? thats 2 beers, in the end of the day its TB and Chris that own the site but its the members that run the site, the more we put in the more we get out of it.

A bit of OBT merchandise would be the go i reckon, shirts, hats, beanies, flags, members can wear it with pride and people know that they support Old Bulls
