Has anyone had anything to do with the Hema Maps Apps for iphones ?
    What do you think ?
Would it be a reliable nav tool ?
Would you trust it in remote areas of Australia ?

obviously you would run a spot tracker and back up maps

    Thanks

I haven’t seen the Hema maps yet Pete but I have got Mud Map on my iPhone and it’s a great tool for checking out fire roads and forest tracks which could have singletracks off them I’ve used mine a lot to get my bearings when exploring.

Here’s a screen shot from Mud Map of some twin track forest trails and fire roads to compare with Hema maps

    Thanks Nick
I was thinking about a little more remote like the Corner or half way down Strzelecki, The Hema maps have all the info on accomadation and the all important fuel and opening times of small outback servos.
Its a pricey App at $180 but could be a good one, just not sure if i want to fork out the coin before finding out if its worth it.
