Hi all, I am just getting back into dirt bikes again after a ten yer rest!
Super excited to be back in the game again, just got a ktm 500 exc with 26 hours on the clock and berry well looked after.
Currently undertaking my pre learner training so consider me a total newb
Located on the central coast and just about to turn thirty so maybe I don’t quit qualify for the OLD bit yet lol
Keen to meet any other guys just starting out for a rideJune 22, 2013 at 11:09 am #244252Hi there welcome to the site

Wow a 500 Kato for your first bike in ten years now that’s jumping in the deep end
Keep your sence of humour and have a thick skin cause those place is full of loonies
June 22, 2013 at 11:32 am #244256Yeah I’m a massive fan of jumping in the deep end hopefully it pays of for me this time. I used to have a wrf250 and have had a Rmx 250 I got cheap for a bit to ride around with the kids at a mates farm so I haven’t totally been of the bike but I defiantly need some practice.
Thanks for the replies gents, much warmer response than I have had on other sites!June 22, 2013 at 12:09 pm #244257Happy to show you around Ourimbah Dan.
Let us know when you get your ‘L’s and we can organize a ride.
There’s a few guys who are after an introductory / getting back into it ride, however work is making me ride in areas away from home at the moment
Welcome to the site
Adam.

June 22, 2013 at 12:32 pm #244268L’s on Monday all going to plan, would love a ride any time after that. Heading of OS for work in two weeks so I’m keen to max out my riding time until then. Cheers mate appreciate the offer!
June 22, 2013 at 9:01 pm #244269G’Day Dan, thanks for the intro and welcome to OBT. A friendlier lot you won’t find on the internet.
As the previous posters have stated, there are plenty of characters in your locality that would be more than happy to have you tag along.
A Kato 500? Awesome! I have ridden a 530 and loved it, so I can imagine they would be of a similar strain when it comes to the grin factor!
Cheers
MickJune 22, 2013 at 10:55 pm #244273Welcome Dan
You’ll enjoy this site mate
We ride a hell of a lot in the Watagans so we will no doubt link up soon.
Our house is right on the bush so its just a matter of gearing up and heading out.
Looks like a tidy bike.
Over the past ten years, I have owned two 525’s and am now on a 500.
They are a challenge especially in the crazy stuff we do.
But you’ve got to love the torque and power. :woohoo: 👿 Unfortuately though its there all the time, even when its not needed.
Enjoy and look out for one of our rides in a couple of weeks time.
Cheers
