Hey everyone,
Sneaky here from Cameron Park up near Newcastle in NSW. I ride a ’13’ Husaberg FE350 & have also just delved into the adventure world & bought a ’11’ Tenere XTZ660 which i’m picking up next week.
Been riding bikes for 20 + years & like most cant get enough.
Hope to tag along on some adventure rides with the new Tenere as well as hit the trails on the “Berg”. I will certainly be picking peoples brains on set-up tips for the Tenere so I apologise in advance for being a pain!!“Grip & Rip”
SNEAKY.
October 17, 2013 at 4:15 am #250753Welcome to Old Bulls Sneaky.
Sounds like you have the best of both worlds with those two bikes. There are plenty of active members around the Hunter so keep an eye out for upcoming rides.
Don’t be shy to ask tech questions mate. We have some gurus on here.
Enjoy the site!STM
October 17, 2013 at 4:24 am #250754Hi Sneaky, Nice selection of bikes there ol mate
Out of interest did you get the Tenere from Watson’s in Cessnock?
As far as setup goes ask away, reckon I have broken it, bought it, used it, crashed it or seen it used on a Tenere   :pinch:
There is a one day ride near you in a few weeks and then there is the two day in Lithgow as well that I am sure a spot will become vacant on

Hope to catch you on an ADV ride on the Ten soon mate.
Check out the sat night camp TB has mentioned for next weekend, maybe you won`t be ready for then and setup, but it is a great chance to get a “sneaky” peak at what we get up to…(I had to throw that one in) 😆Cheers mate
October 17, 2013 at 9:08 am #250756Thanks for the welcome boys!! TB I bought the bike from Team Moto in Brisbane, its being shipped down to their Sydney shop for me to pick up next week. Need to add a few essentials which I’m hoping to snare a few bargains at the bike expo next month.
Will definitely keep an eye on rides coming up & look forward to meeting everone.
First Tenere question – is there one essential no question mod I should do straight up? It has a centre stand, pivot pegs & barkbusters. I’m getting SW Motech bars & bash plate, barretts rack & wolfman expedition panniers. I’m really looking for any advice on suspension / engine mods. Have read a bit about DNA stage 2 filters & also somthing about a O2 sensor mod??

Mate I modified my first Tenere as far the 02 sensor goes and isn’t worth the time and effort. Both my Teneres since have remained standard engine wise and go great. I fit a DNA filter cover and that’s it. A set of Barrett’s twin pipes would be the go. I have Leo Vince’s because they came on the first bike so I still use them but have spoken with Jason about a set of his pipes for the next one. Barretts are a site sponsor, so if you ring Jason tell him you are an Old Bull he will look after you. 45672072
STM is correct Teknik’s are a site supporter as well and actually have a deal going at the moment on Teneres suspension See here Tekniks call Nick or Blake 47322626
Everything else ring Janice at Adventure Moto also a site supporter an she will look after you See here

Welcome mate, look forward to meeting you on a ride.
As for mods, suspension suspension suspension. Nick at Tekniks did mine and it actually saved my arse in a bad situation while out at Cameron corner, he is a site sponsor and i wont get anything out of saying this but the guy is a guru and you will not be disappointed.
