Hey Guy’s, been riding at Swans for a while now, I’m from Newcastle and a buddy and I have been regulary travelling up the Highway and exploring!
Recent events have led me to move from troller to member.
My mate and I were on the organised trail ride Booney met with in the Cell’s area, also my bud was involved in the recent Swan’s incident!
My call to all is realise shit can happen!
Slow down and enjoy being in the bush!
Don’t risk non legality, Really bad shit can happen without warning

I am also from the Newcastle area :)
Had just an incident where my kid was legal (bike regoed and licenced) but had a head on with a dude that was not??!! Sucks as Tim (my son) was put on crutches for three months with a smashed knee cap. The young fella who crashed into him gets off scott free????? We were left to pick up the pieces, almost litterally
Just be aware of clowns out there. Sure they think its all cool??
But, but and then, then, BANG. Thats not the sound you want to hear if you ride a bike!!
    Cheers

Gday TJblue. Thanks for the intro and welcome to OBT. I have lived at around Comboyne and Wauchope most of my life and come holiday time we avoid Swanies like the plague. Too many tools get there over the holidays. I have been there and seen dudes on a YZ250 chucking donuts and roaring around the camp grounds with no helmets or shirt. After one close head on miss,I have decided no matter how good the trails are , it just isn’t worth it at Holiday time. Two days before your mates accident we were up near there and I even said to the lads that we wont go down there because of the head on risk. Two days later I read about a head on in the paper. Did it actually happen in the camp grounds??
Bummer of a way to end a holiday.

I was also on the ride at the Cells that Boony was on that met up with you guys I think.

    Cheers
    Mick

Boony a couple of riders had a head on at Swans Crossing the other day and both were airlifted to Newcastle with multiple injuries including a broken jaw. Swans Crossing is a popular camp ground between Comboyne and Kendall.
