he looks 30% faster than before.

He is at least 30% faster Menace, I was very impressed with his ridingg on the last Murphsberg, even more so when he kept going long after I had given up and gone home with my tail between my legs :D

Funny you should all mention this. I too was impressed with the speed shown by young Polly. On this ride I asked him how long he had been riding for he said he had been on more rides than I had had hot dinners! Not really but you get the point  Yes he is very smooth and I have yet to see him make a mistake. His new grill does slow him down as the tooth menace  broke for him on “The Steps” worked a bit like a cold air intake

Yes I agree TB but I just cannot seem to go past how these two photos and rider ability look so similar. They could be the same person!

Bollocks Who? Do we know you? We used to know some one by that name but he rejected his country and went riding with his coasty friends.

I had a ride on the Yamaha 2WD when they can out here in 04/05 Aaron and you would amazed how easy you can ride up hills and how fast you corner on them. Takes a bit to adapt to the front driving. It’s a bit like an AWD car on the dirt.

is that a KTM 2WD, 2 stroke bike.

it sure looks like one! :)

I looked at a 2wd WR450 in 2005 was at Sam Laws Motorcycles, 24k tell you I gave it some serious thought even thought of selling my road bike to buy it. Too much coin in the end but, never rode one lucky you Mal. Saw them at the Condo 750 when the Yamaha team were there in 2004 or 05 can’t remember. Rode with one there it it drove out of corners like nothing else

Yeah the WRs were, only limited percentage to the front I think around 25 to 35% from memory

I’ve always wondered why the likes of KTM and Yamaha don’t run 2WD at Dakar. Surely the extra drive would be awesome getting heavy safari bikes over the dunes.

KTM are working on two new 2WD systems, one hydraulic and the other a hybrid with electric motors in each wheel.
