A slight long up hill is a good start, the best wheely I ever did was on the nundle ride, (in a paddock going up hill) I’m no expert but getting better, the KATA 400 makes it easier than the 250 but I’m still practicing. Some guys make it look so easy.

    Cheers
    Chris.

Practice and throttle control, cover the rear brake in case it starts to flip and Chris was right grassy uphill best ;)

Definately will whanny, I’m finding that as I get better obstacles on the trail are much easier to overcome, logs, holes etc become very easy to get over, basically I go down a gear and pull the clutch rev the F out of it drop the clutch whilst pulling up on the bars and pushing your weight towards the back of the bike… Practice Practice Practice… Do as I say not as I do ;) ;)

Baaaahhhh snort snort Baaahh haaaaaa   Eags you are a classic  I remember you keeping kermit on the ground a bit to often  a certain mudhole in the watagans springs to mind

Whanny, start slow mate, pop little wheelies in an open paddock or on a beach then slowly gain confidence and increase your speed. The yamaha 450 is an easy bike to wheelstand, but it can quickly spit you off bigtime as well ;)
