Start by covering the rear brake like TB says and then actually pop the clutch out whilst lifting revs and you will get the thing happening, one of the biggest things that bring you undone is your body in the wrong spot, usually to far forwards, get seated with your arms straight, this will move your weight back and then when the angle gets high it will be easier to stay there, lock your arms and then when it goes up dont lean forwards you will be fighting yourself then, whilst covering the back brake if it gets out of shape simply push the rear brake and it will go down real quick, and when you have practiced heaps you can change gears on the rear wheel, and throw legs out to steer, all cool and choice fun….come to a school and I will teach you my friend

She is the Big Air Specialist these daysMy tip,,,,,, keep it on the ground as much as possible,,,,,
till ya get the other skills in check first mate:laugh: Yeah but mine are never done on purpose Eagle. They occur usually during an ‘oh crap’ moment or during a fit of ‘I’m so f$@king cranky that I just don’t care what happens whilst the front wheel is in the air’
I got some bad news about my back this arvo so I’m not sure if I’ll be wheelying much. It was bad at first, had a think about it and thought yeah might not be too bad, thought about it a bit more and I think it could be bad. But that’s not for this thread. I’ll deal with it some other time.
November 12, 2009 at 11:21 am #160783Hey Rat, probably too late for me I need to be back at work by the 3rd Jan, am coming up that way to visit a mate for a couple of days between christmas and new year.

November 12, 2009 at 11:29 am #160790Maybe a foam pit might come in handy or some gymnastic mats, seriously practice practice practice start small and slowly build yourself up.

November 12, 2009 at 7:04 pm #160810Try and get a comment or 2 off Moto. On the Coffs ride I was doing around 100kph and he went past me on the back wheel on his Kato450. Not saying he is an expert but he could sure give you some tips. My Wr lifts my fat arse but thats about it, it lifts then drops straight back down, but I put it down to my riding ability not the bike. My M8 can wheel stand MY bike ages. Good luck and remember that wheelies are hard on chains and sprockets.
