Whammy dude
Love your clip very funny
I am not a great wheelier but see murph do it all the time.
1 you need balls (be prepared to pay the price)(crash/hurt yourself)
2 you need an crowd ( to wittness your feat)
3 you need wheel grip (no splnning back wheel/control)
4 you need commitment which is the same as number 1.Have fun.
dude

December 24, 2009 at 3:11 am #160743arh don’t give up just yet!
maybe just don’t try too hard,
my tip would be maybe swap your front sprocket 1 or 2 teeth, that way your bike will respond quicker when your throttle on.
instead of the dump the clutch method, start in 1st gear, and ‘blip’ the throttle, you will feel the front wheel pop up and then down,
just do this while putting around an open area and slowly make the blips on the throttle longer so you can feel how the bike reacts and get a feel for the weight of the bike.
then you can after some time and yes practice, you can feather the throttle while the front wheel is in the air.
as for hopping the front over logs and stuff, do the same and find an open area you can practice in, maybe find a slallish limb say the size of your arm,
peg it to the ground so it won’t move on you while you ride over it.
and do the same, just ride over it to start with, 1st gear, and just enough speed so you don’t jump it, if that makes any sense.
then once you feel how the bike reacts try and blip the throttle as the front wheel hits it.
do that until you are comfortable then blip the throttle just before the front hits it.
but you will have to stand up just enough so that when the rear wheel hits the log, you are not bumped out of your seat.
now grasshopper, practice practice practice ANd practice
good luck

December 24, 2009 at 10:27 am #166243get rolling along slowly , make sure your in first, pull in clutch rev bike to say about 5000rpm then just flick the clutch out,, you will have the front wheel in the air no worries.
see there now you can do a wheelie, how ever doing a decent mono is a whole new training thread when I have time.
