Hey Bulls,
Any one got a Husaberg 390 or 450 2009/2010??
Just wondering what they are like, any dramas with the FI(2009)?? Maintenance issues ect???
I am coming off a 2009 KTM 400 EXC and am interested in the Berg as an option.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
TurnstyleNovember 12, 2010 at 1:03 am #190584All I know Turns is you got to get something real quick for Coffs or STM will not be happy!
November 12, 2010 at 1:38 am #190587I saw on MXTV the other day that the Fro was quicker around the track on a DRZ250E than he was on the 390
November 12, 2010 at 5:39 am #190590Would there be a great differance beween the 450 and the 570? The 570 seems to be a shithot bike.
November 12, 2010 at 6:54 am #190610From what I’ve red the 570 is less aggresive compared to the 450 and rides like a lot smaller bike!
November 12, 2010 at 7:01 am #190611I spoke to a guy that owned a 390 and reckoned the handling was shocking and he through a lot of money at it and never got it right, he ended up selling it. I have no idea what he spent the money on , or even if the upgrades were carried out by a professional, but by his account the standard handling was to bad to live with.

Could not have been too many big jumps etc. You would think it would bag out on the jumps and rhythm sections and be a pig unless it was very well set up. Still two years back a guy came third (as a team)in the horton ponyx on a CRF 230. Sorry back on the topic love the Husaberg 390 they just look so good. But have only seen two while out riding. Sorry Im not much help am I.

I saw this at STMs house and couldn’t believe it, both bikes were standard and the Fro was getting some air on the Drz250, I think the times were identical. Amazing!
November 12, 2010 at 7:32 am #190585Yeah I have A 570 and I couldnt come up with a bad thing to say about it.Its by far the best bike I have ever riden.
As far as handling is concerned it what your used to and if thats a Jap bike then a Euro bike might not be for you.
Ive had my bikes suspension done both back and front to suit the kind of riding I do which wont suit someone else.
Ive had no problems with it at all, it has always started and got me places my other bikes would have had trouble with. The REKLUS cluth helps alot.As for the Fro testing a 390 and not being as fast as a DRZ 250 what a load of B*&^S#$T who sponsers the show, So why would they say a berg is better or faster, it would only insult there sponsers.
Cheers
November 12, 2010 at 7:42 am #190616mate i own a 570 berg and haven’t had an issue with it as for the blokes that reckon they have spent lots of money on suspension i don’t know why. mine handled great out of the box set up fo my weight with a heavier rear spring.
November 12, 2010 at 7:44 am #190612i agree with nickj the 570 is more user friendly than the 450 i test rode both before i purchased mine

they are a sweet bike, like riding my 300 but with big swinging balls tucked into the motor somewhere.
the 570 loves the super high speed driftys as much as i do

Hey Gotchya
We know how much you love your Berg. You are the only guy in the Southern Hemisphere who has a weather cover for his dirt bike
I read Turnstyle’s thread and he says he was on a KTM so he is used to Euro bikes. His question is if the 09 model have EFI issues. Does anyone have info on that?
I too have seen the MXTV episode with the 390 and it did land on the same second as the 250 farm bike’s enduro loop. No doubt it is on Youtube. No mention of the conditions but it did happen.Cheers

November 12, 2010 at 9:07 am #190625We saw a couple at the A4DE this year with EFI issues, one was an injector as I asked Sutto. Thats all I know
November 12, 2010 at 11:05 am #190583Thanks fellas for all your info.I am just covering all bases before i drop the hard earned on a new bike.Hopefully i can get something sorted before the Coffs blast but i don’t want to end up buying the wrong bike.
I was looking at a 2010 300 EXC also.
