Hi all
I too have looked at the husky, the price for a bike with so many goodies. It seems crazy. If you are interest in all things Husky then try Cafe Husky a all about husky chat forum predominantly for US. In our family we have a husky cr125. Often have had to leave the country for parts. Highly recommend halls husky. If you’re a husky fan google both cafe husky and halls husky.
Keep us informed of how any new rides go. I think cycle torque has a good ride report done by smartie also adb’s sam mac has a good video on youtube he has some interesting comments about the rear end shock adjustment.
Only concern is none of the pro’s seem to be willing to race it. The aus husky riders (and imports) this year are all riding the 310. Why? I am sure it would make no difference given the way i ride but leaves you with a question!
In aus trooper lu’s seems to be putting some real yards into expanding the brand so check him out (justin).

I have previously owned 2 x Huskys, both 450’s, an 06 and an 08. They are racers no doubt. The harder you push the better they perform.
September 29, 2011 at 11:03 am #209870Some interesting replies! The resale thing must be bad if anyone considers them worse to sell than a second hand Honda CRF450X…… cant shift a nearly 3 year old one for $5500. I sold my 12 year old XR400 for $2500 in 08. Just goes to show unreliability issues far out way the old bullet proof technology of an XR. Imagine how much a 12 year old CRF will be worth.
So no new Husky for me yet.October 2, 2011 at 12:30 am #209877G’day mate
I bought a new 449 last month, coming off an ’07 300exc it was a big decision…however for the price and what comes with it I couldn’t go past the Husky. I too did quite a bit of research and couldn’t find anything bad other than looks! I rode with a bloke on an 09 G450X and side by side the 449 seems to be a much sturdier and better bike.
I have only put just over 200ks on it so far and I love it….
As for someone mentioning the 2 year warranty, they come with a 12mth unlim k’s…the older ones have a 12mth factory and 12mth PFG warranty…
On the resale game, with my 07 300, I lost just over $4000 in 3 years, in purchasing the 449, I saved $2500-$3000 on a new 450exc….I would say that is comparative on resale when selling the 449 down the track…

Traction on the hill climbs is awesome, make’s snotty hills so much fun
The bike is just so much fun, cant wait to get back on it

Bit to race bling,it looks as though it should go faster than it will with me as the pilot 😆 going to tone it down a bit with some new decor
