Ok so this is the story last riding season this Husky did not need a new spark plug. This season it fowls plug after 1 hour of riding and dies. Put a new plug in and it runs like a dream for one hour?

Stator and electrics have been checked all ok, Jetting and tuned all done, Fuel and oil mix does not make a difference, 9 8 and even 7 plugs used all still get killed, Just replaced the needle and seat and float bowl as we thought this may be intermittently jamming and flooding but no? Crank case seals checked so any ideas other than 5 ltrs of petrol and a match.

Ps also has had a top end rebuild and power valve cleaned etc all to no avail.

Wow sounds like you have checked most things. Have you changed oils? Does i have lots of “spooge” out the silencer? Got any pics of one of ur fouled plugs?

    G,Day Glenboy,
I used to have a this model Husky and went through some fowling probs so i changed the pre mix ratio and this cleared it up. Had some troubles with the float bowl sticking occasionally but that never fowled it just came out the over flow.

Be perfect if you get your hands on a complete carb to try…….

In light of all the above my belief is the piston/rings are tired. If your wanting to cheat the expense buy the next hotter spark plug and when you freshen it up one day put the standard plug back in.
