nice bike no all u need is cruise control to complete the package :woohoo: (not sure it has any use really but hey you can say it has it if it’s fitted yeah)

Cruise control for motorbikes ha ha

Dont laugh, some of the big BMW road bikes have electronic cruise control (not just a throttle friction control) just like a car???

So is the springs to soft on them? The nx is to soft and heavy for anything other than a fire trail but its great for touring on

Hey XRTRAILHACK maybe you should see what these blokes do on there NX650’s. Bit more than fire trail touring.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWxDbjj7dFo

All they did was ride them through water and open trails? Everytime the trail tightened or got hard they fell off or carried the bike up. I’m sure people do ride them hard but that video wasn’t a great example!

Nice bike TB, it looks tidy. I like the color too. Welcome to the Yamaha ownership club :)

I’ve seen hard core enduro bikes man handled over lesser territory than that (even KTM’s). So if where they took them big bikes does not impress you than maybe you should enter the next Erzberg, you’d be a shoe in for the win.

Yeah I reckon Scotty is right I was impressed enough. I have tried similar on an NX, SEE HERE
I can speak from experience they haven’t a lot of suspension they are heavy and not a lot of fun hard core of road :P And having ridden a LC4 and an NX you cant compare them except they both have wheels  I think they do a pretty good job on the video all things considered   (dont take any notice of that Mick you will love your new NX :P )

Cheers on the welcome to the Yamaha club Moto, I think my membership number was just on hold as I have had few Yamaha’s before ;) and have always been happy with them. Its a nice bike and I hope to get it out on the dirt this weekend, I will take so photos tomorrow. Mate my ride home was like your Yamaha ride home, weather wise anyway :P

Yeah scotty I have seen that vid before but the one that impressed me was the one of you riding up that hill at the Sofala ride on the big V Strom you are nuts for trying but if you can do it why not! My NX will never see to much dirt because I don’t wan’t to scratch her thats why I pay 2x regos one for my NX and one for XR tractor. Its good when you can choose which bike should I ride today

I cant wheelie it very good yet, Mal from Sutto’s rode his 990 kato up and meet be it the rain and dark at Somersby and he had a ride at Cowan on my bike and did a wheelie  We also stopped to see a mate who has a long private bitumen drive way ;) so I tested the new bike it will cruise on 130 and ran out to 152 before the driveway ran out
After riding in the rain I will be fitting my heated grips :P
