It was my young blokes birthday on new years eve. For his birthday he got two diecast 1:10 scale model bikes from some of his mates. They are held together with the tiniest of screws just to make dad’s life hell.
The first bike we put together was a Kawasaki Z1000. Nice looking bit of kit and went together much better than I expected. YOu can even push these things around once together.
Next bike was a Hond CBR 1000. Piece of shit to put together. Bits were fiddly and didn’t go together properly. Got it all together and only the front wheel to go. Then the front discs wouldn’t fit on the front wheel and the wheel wouldn’t even fit in the forks with no discs on it. Was going to force it in without discs to keep the young fella happy but then thought stuff it someone paid good money for this, I’ll take it back and swap it. (Easy to do without a receipt in a town where there is only one toy shop to choose from).
Took it back and got a Yamaha YZF R1. Again it went together like a dream and looked good.
So in my experience blue and green is good quality and red is crap. Was enough to put me off buying a honda at the time let me tell you.
