Well a week out from the first race day and the worst thing has happened. During a game of touch football I’ve done something too my hamstring ( it went pop and I went down ) I’m getting mixed reports on what to do. So far its go to doctors tomorrow morning, get a referal to get a ultra sound and if going by what the blokes at touch have said I’m down and out for 6 months. I’m hoping they are wrong.
Anyone got advice on what I should do ?March 4, 2014 at 10:48 am #254686Ice Ice Baby
Maybe showing my age with that comment but ice it as much as you can.

All the best with it mate
March 5, 2014 at 11:39 am #254723I tell you at the time my hamstring popped I thought the bloke chasing me shot me. The weirdest feeling until you take the next step. Then its quiet pain full to say the least.
Been to the doctors today, fortunately I haven’t done as much damage as first thought. I’m walking but very steadily and able to put weight on the leg, but bending over, going up and down steps is a bit out of the question at the moment.
So for now I’ve been told too ice it and throw the theigh brace on and stay home for a week and think about what I’ve done haha.
Cheers for the words of wisdom mates muchly appreciated.March 6, 2014 at 10:16 am #254688I feel your pain Nathan :pinch:

Its coming along pretty good. Walking around up and down stairs a lot easier. Just been stretching it of a morning and night. But no where near 100% but yeah thankfully the way its healing I definiatly haven’t done major damage. Which I was told on the night and I didn’t need to hear that crap!
Once again cheers for all the advice guys definiatly helped out that’s for sure!March 13, 2014 at 2:55 pm #254690Whats done is done,
