    Gday all,
    I met up the guys doing the cape York 2012 trip at Musgrave roadhouse. I am doing my own little ride from Melbourne to Weipa solo. Why not go to the top I hear you say? I got this far, if I can back without wrecking my bike or me, I’ll be happy.

    I was pretty spun out by riding my first day in through the dust holes, and the guys gave me some good tips on how to stay upright, which helped a lot- many thanks!

    Normally I ride my bmer F650gs around Melbourne most on made roads but occasionally venturing onto a dirt bit, but nothing like this.

    Welcome Glabster I’m suprised you survived to tell the tale after meeting that lot. A better bunch of blokes you won’t meet :-) enjoy the site mate and keep us posted on your endevours.

    Hey welcome was a great meeting at Musgrave. So did you make Weipa I am guessing as you are on line you did if so well done. Remember weight back throttle on and drag the rear brake if required

    Keep us posted eh, our trip is done I am posting this from the ferry as we travel back to Townsville.
