    Hi All

I was surprised just how crap dirt bike gloves were when I recently started buying gear, I must have tried on 20 odd pairs from $20 cheapies to $79 U-Beaut gloves and I thought they were all crap, so went to Bunnings and got the gloves pictured

So far I done 500k or so and they are good, comfortable, and sturdy with no wear, just stains
The black panels are Kevlar reinforced stuff, the BLACK PART above the leather is some kind of stretchy stuff, the leather is all double stitched, the finger tips have extra leather wrapped around them, and they are washable and won’t go stiff after getting soaked

They are called IronClad Ranchworx Gloves and only cost $42 bucks, also the good thing about bunnings is if they start falling apart you can take them back :)

I like them and wouldn’t hesitate to buy some again
PS, I don’t work for Bunnings or Ironclad ;)

I’ve looked at the Iron Clad range too BM and they do look good , I was frustrated with the cheaper gloves falling apart after a few rides. The Fox Bomber glove I now have is excellent but worth$80 !!

What type of riding do you do in them ?

Any blisters ( I find really tight gloves are the go for hard long days ) ?

    Hi Nick

I think like most of us we ride a variety of terrain, on the W/E I did 80k’s of Fire trails, sometimes I just do a few K’s of tight, twisty singles, I think mine are Large and they fit really well, so No blisters to report as yet, anyway as I said nice and comfy, sturdy and a good price, beats any of the $40 offerings from the bike shops, I’ve used these for 10 rides I guess and they look as good as the day I got them except dirty.

I use the Ironclad landscaper gloves. Been going really well (+/- 1000km so far). No blisters. I have noticed that the leather (or whatever it’s made of) on the palm is starting to stretch and bunch a bit now. I don’t notice it when riding and it hasn’t caused any ill effects yet. My main problem with gloves is the stitching along the side of the fingers gives out. All good so far. Can’t remember the price as it was too long ago. Like Steve said the palm does get sweat stained. If you are worried about your gloves matching your mascara then these gloves are probably not for you.
