Finallly paid for the new XR630 project bike for the chicken pen ( just to impress the four chooks that live Here) with a TT600 thrown in for good measure, not a goer though.
.XR 630 2nd gear slipping ?????the old owner says?????? used to run on avgas, rejetted it to run on the farm?, new rear rim and a better front than I’ve got after the last ride. Its a XR only 630 with a big fin head plus plus apparrently. The TT600 had the suspension done before his mate belew it up, why would you do that?????????? :angry:April 11, 2009 at 12:06 pm #128707Won’t get near you now!!! You will have to post a pic of the dear old thing.
Then again, I am sick of looking at XR’s today.
I think you will find that 2nd gear is a weak point on them, although slipping isn’t a symptom of the the common problem, more of a grinding noise is a sign they aint happy.April 11, 2009 at 12:13 pm #128714You will be sooting now big guy, cant wait to see you chicken scrub this new gadget

Is that a Mikuni flat slide bolted in there?I thought they used the same engine, just a de-tuned version. I don’t know the history of all these ag bikes floating around here, I leave that to you old geezers

April 14, 2009 at 10:41 am #129022Yep flat slide it is, Mick, the old owner reakons he can find the old stain tune pipe, I will rebuild her ( project bike ) but for the time being, I’ll take the heavy duty rear spring out and the header pipes and the front rim. The TT is TB’s to replace the Xr6fiddy.
