Jacob Smith has signed with GHR Honda for Condo and the Safari. AJ Roberts will also be riding the Safari again, he last rode it in 2000. Dont know what’s happened to Damien Grabham? He was on the GHR team last year with his brother Ben. I think 3rd or 4th outright in the Safari. I would think the HOFF would have 3 on the team for Safari? But I also wouldn’t think he’d be too keen on dropping Damian after such a solid result last year. Todd Smith must still be with Yamaha for Safari, Damien would have to be pissed with all the cut backs that are going on GHR.
I read that KTM were going to help Damien out with a bike but it wont be a fully supported ride. Thats all that I learnt today

Seems pretty rough to me. Damo has proven himself and you would think the GHR or KTM teams would snap him up. Maybe OBT should sponsor a Safari rider? If 30 of us chuck in $100 it would be a start for someone anyway… We could let him ride TB’s XR!

Yeah I think its very rough, he would be better using Moto’s bike, he just serviced it and he told me its a race bike  , Jacob’s a good rider, very good, but he rode for another brand, I like to think people stay with people that have given blood for them, I also rate a handshake as very important and the sign of a mate / man, just old fashioned I think

What does that make Chicken and his bone crushing handshake :P I should have mentioned to him it was the hand I recently busted up!

It does sound a bit rough on Damo but that’s the racing word I guess. Hopefully he get’s sorted out with someone, he’s too good a rider to have a half arsed attempt at support like KTM are apparently offering.
