I have for sale a brand new, unused JD Jetting High Performance Jet Kit for use in Yamaha WR400,426,450 and YZ400,426,450 four stroke models using an Keihin FCR 39mm carby.

The kit is the JDY006 which is marketed for the 06-08 YZ450F and 07-08 WR450F models but can definitely be used (I checked with James Dean himself in the USA)in the earlier models of these bikes as mentioned above. The only difference is the fitting instructions, as they obviously specify different clip settings and installed jet size for the different year range of models. I am able to supply a copy of the instructions for the earlier model range if required.

    The kit contains:
    160, 165,168,170 main jets
48 pilot jet (for later model engines)
    two different JD taper needles
    spare needle circlip
two different size O rings (used for accelerator pump modification)
pictorial instructions and recommendations for jet settings

The kit was purchased for someone else, who now doesn’t want it.

*****REGRETFULLY WITHDRAWN FROM SALE AT THIS STAGE DUE TO NO INTEREST ****

With the dollar now at 67 cents (5 year low) this is an even better price. I almost tempted to buy it and I don’t even have a Yamaha. Where’s Gili, he must be all cashed up ;)

I won’t put it on ebay yet, as I would rather sell it to a forum member.
I had a look at the Higashi a couple of years ago out at Metro Spares at Silverwater. I didn’t like it, looked a bit “tinny”. Plus that is double what I would probably want to spend anyway. I would rather a YZ pipe. Also spending money at the moment is the last thing I should be doing:(

I did. And the ride on Monday wasn’t much better. Gili goes alright, you’d know from Qualifying at Yellow Mountain ;)

I think he means he’ll have one over me in terms of faster bike, not rider. He sadly mistaken though and when I learn to tame the beast (and not break it) you will be pleased you have given up racing ;)
