Picked this up yesterday from Parramatta, it came with a heap of spares including a right side fairing, brand new timing chain and sprocket, ECU, Stator and other brand new bits and pieces. It has a tank protector and tank bag as well as some other used spares and a stainless muffler. I will have to get some mounting brackets welded to the muffler though as there aren’t any on it. It is fitted with a taller screen (I got the original as well) and heavier springs for a 100kg + rider like myself and a spare set of the heavier fork springs. Apparently he ordered them and they got lost in the mail so he got another set through insurance then 6 months later the original set he ordered turned up. All the original springs are there as well.
It has quite a few K’s on it (78000) but I will get the engine freshened up and replace he swing arm and headstock bearings (the wheels bearings have been recently replaced. Also comes with the hard panniers

So what made you go with a Ten Jeffro ??? Hooking up for the Tenere Tragics Ride in 2012 are ya ???
Looks to be in great nick for an old slapper tooCheers
November 19, 2011 at 1:47 pm #212041It is certainly in good nick for the age of it, I wanted something that I could do the long haul adventures and that Giselle could get on the back of for a local cruise as well. I had considered the 690 but it wasn’t really going to be comfortable for the 2 up trips and I didn’t want to fork out the bigger bucks for a new Tenere. Like I said, it has a some K’s on it but even if I have to spend a grand or 2 getting the motor overhauled it is still cheaper than a new one. I actually put a post on the ADV wanted to but section and this guy responded that he would be parting with his at the end of the month and just went from there. When he sent the photo’s, (and the top one is one he sent me) I thought they must have been old because the bike looked so new but after seeing it in the flesh a couple of weeks ago I was very impressed with the state of it. There are minimal scratches on the fairings, the seat has been recovered and there aren’t even many signs of the usual scuffing you get from boot rubbing on the frame.
As for when we are going riding Nick, I don’t know yet. I need to get to know the bike a bit better and probably get the motor freshend up before I go too far with it.
November 19, 2011 at 1:47 pm #212042I saw one just like it in Wauchope the other day and I thought to myself they are a great looking bike!
November 19, 2011 at 3:54 pm #212046Nice Jeffro, sorry about the meet up yesterday if I had known you were keen would have made the effort and headed that way.
Great bike, awesome actually reliable trust worthy and will be around long after Eags shitter has been scraped for parts. Slapper my arse Eags find me a 690 with 78k untouched.

Correct there Eagle, I quite liked the Transalp it was just that it was an imported model and hard to get parts for.
As for having had a few, you have to try them to know what works you I guess, thats part of the fun.
