Congrats Snowy.. Should have gone the Kato 350 though

It started well before Nick got his. Mthicket was the first I saw and that bike is 5 years old and going strong. Aaron made the switchover a year ago and has had no dramas. The biggest surprise would have been Crash. To downsize from a 650 is a big move and he bought his before the Coffs ride last year. I rode with him at Wauchope and he was flying on it. Since then Nick got his, myself and now Snowy. When I first joined OBT I was often the only 250f rider on group rides and now they are everywhere!

July 8, 2012 at 2:45 pm #225710The Honda was simple choice based on price thanks to Matt (Charlie5) who owns our local Honda dealership who did the deal at an awesome price to allow me to upgrade and I would still be on the original drz without his help. The new toy will be fitted with bikes and bits stickers as payback . LC the old girl is in the maritime industry and is now working as a tug at Newcastle harbour.

I was on a ride yesterday and a bloke had a brand new 250X, the disease is spreading.

I look forward to owning a Fi bike but I must admit after bikes and bits jetted my bike it has run very nicely at all altitudes and levels of coolth. Nundle. Coffs and Vic high country. My wr was a prick to get right but that’s cause I did it. Amazing the difference a bit of skill makes. Welcome to the ride it like you stole it brigade snow
July 9, 2012 at 12:51 pm #225670Wow, seems that Honda did actually have a replacement for the XR250 after all lol. Just took about 5 years for everyone to notice they were there.
They must be good little bikes judging by the number buying them on here. Maybe Honda just needed to pay all the bike mags to say how good they were like Yamaha must do? Then they would have kept their market share. Which brings me to this question, why in the last couple of issues of ADB they tested “all” the 250 and 450 bikes but there were no Honda bikes included?
Yamaha WR450 is just another clunker with a carby, and yet the mags were full of stories on how awesome they are. They are clearly just a parts bin special with no new technology. Honda CRF’s are the same and they don’t even get into the magazines for test articles……… go figure.July 9, 2012 at 1:03 pm #225679Scotty wrote:Flash new ride Snowy.
