Back in 1970 Niel Allen took a Mclaren M10B F 5000 to a lap record of 2min.09.70 sec that stood for 30 years. Whats goin to happen on tuesday ! should be something pretty special

A couple of mates are going to watch as well.

I’ll miss it. I’ll be water skiing at the dam you guys will ride past. If you intend to take the road bike friendly :woohoo: option to Bathurst.

Yeah right Boony, Button has won a world championship and Webber hasn’t that makes me think he can get the ducks to water ;)

Webber may but hasn’t the runs on the board as far a title goes yet :P

    Go Lowndes :)

It was one of their test cars not a top car. They had to lift the suspension because of the dipper and how rough the track is compared to their normal circuits so it didnt handle as well as normal. He wasnt allowed to have a red hot go because of the lack of fire and rescue crews yet he was 17 seconds faster  bloody hell they reckon there is some 5 to 8 seconds left in the right circumstances  Wish I had have been able to go :(

    Go 888 and Lowndes B)

Sounds like lowndes went alright in the F1 car. Only 1 second slower than old mate. I realise old mate was far from pedal to the metal though.
