G’day all I am guessing I am in the right place . Old and grey so must be right . Ok will try to keep it short.

1. Stopped riding at 17.
2. Tried again in 2000 with enduro Drz 400 on motocross track, crashed on tabletop, spent 12 months recovering and said goodbye to bike (and much more in process):( .
3. Finally got to get another bike this year, a green version of the Drz a Klx 400 with electric start this time (70 a day smoker didn’t get along with kickstart).
4. I live in Qld and normally ride in Lockyer State Forest these days and go no where near motocross tracks having learnt my limits in 2000 .
5. Finding I still fall off a lot, hence the username, but at least on the trails I manage to get up and go again :woohoo: (so far).
6. Pic of bike

7. Be gentle with me.

Gday Sirdropalot, welcome to the Oldbulls. Your story is very similar to many on this site, so you should fit right in nicely.
I gave MX a go again last year on a KTM250SX 2 banger, wrong thing to do after many years out of the saddle when you are on the shady side of 40!! I had fun but couldn’t move the following week.
good to see another Queenslander join, you guys have nearly enough up there to start your own chapter and start your own ride gatherings.
Cheers
Mick

Welcome sirdropalot, I’d like to see some pics of your green machine when you get a chance. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

Cheers

Hello Sirdropalot and welcome to the site. KLX looks good, one of our admin used to have a schmick green machine but sold for the temptation of Blue. As others have said this is a good place to have a laugh and meet up with fellow riders so I hope you have as much fun with it as we all do :)

Good pic sirdropalot (I will now call you sir for short), is that the stock tank looks bigger than the ones on a DRZ

Chris.

I thought the tank looks pretty stock. It’s hard to tell through all the shiny parts!

Just a stock tank Chris, maybe looks bigger because of no stickers, one was wrecked from petrol when I got it so took them off.

Sirdropalot. What part of the fraser coast are you on? I wrote this else where, musta been a bad on my behalf..wrong spot. mate, I’m in Maryborough, looking about for ride partners. Riding solo is a touch dangerous.. I’m thinking your Avatar is a pic of the Takura hills? Binned my Husky up there…long walk out.lol. PM me if your close by and interested in hooking up for rides. Nick. :)

I know what you mean dropalot, I’ve thrown mine away more than once too ;) She doesn’t look like she once did. I will try and make her look nice again though. I used to ride moto trials when I was a lad and I remember practicing and my old man telling me ‘If you’re not crashing, you’re not trying hard enough’ :)
