Just signed up and found site very interesting.Im 48 and at Hallidays Point just south of Taree. No bike at the moment but keen to buy one in the new year and start going on some rides.Looking at a Suzuki DR650 and would be keen for any feedback about this bike.I like the fact I can double on it so dual purpose more family friendly well thats what I told the wife anyway. Looking forward to getting back on the bike.

Welcome KD, nice area and we will have a group going through there in Feb see the link here get your DR650 by then and get on board. The DR is a great Dual Sport, limited in the tighter tight going but will do it.
I did DR650 up for a mate see here

Thanks for the intro and welcome to the site. Not far from you up at Wauchope.
Looking at a New DR650 or a 2nd hand one?? If you dont mind a bit of tinkering, The Rowan has one that needs a little bit of work that he is considering selling cheap enough.

Thanks for the welcome guys.TB I was giving the site address from a mate at Ourimbah who has been on some of your rides and enjoyed them so told me to get onboard.
micknmeld im looking at a new DR650 as im no good at tinkering but think i need to learn as there seems many upgrades you can do to the bikes.Looking forward to getting out on the trails and away for a few weekends.
