Well I woke up this morning and realised I had nothing to do. No work, no kids, chrissy shopping done, there was only one thing for it. Load up the DRZ and head to Clarence.

Just went for at bit of exploring, spent some time getting lost on single tracks most of the morning. Managed to find some quiksand at the bottom of one valley, nearly busted a gut getting out of the shit.

Latter on I just followed the twin trails and fire trail out to Wolgan Gap and into Linsdale for fuel as I’d done over 100k’s by this time. Followed another trail I’d not been on before up to a lookout that overlooked the Wolgan Valley. Fark it was high, I don’t like heights. Good views but.

Headed back to the car through some more single track. So much to to explore out there I think I might go back this week.

Good report Scotty and some nice pics too. Looks like one or two of the areas we covered in our ride to Orange. It almost brings a tear to my eye….

A Lot of where he went was the same area, from the zig zag and the garden of stone area, difference being he made that final right hander before the cars lol

It was pretty scenic in that valley as pictured above. Would like to get out there again. Are you looking to get hold of a portable TIG welder to take out riding with you? I know someone who might have one ;)

Just for today? I’m obviously not trying hard enough? In your other thread you asked me to keep going and you have still been slating the Orange monster. Your like a woman, I can’t keep up with your mixed signals!

Yeah you guys would have covered most of this area on the way to Orange. There are so many more trails out there to explore but some of them I didn’t want to tackle aloan. Found some new stuff back in the pine forest though. How good is the dirt under pine trees.

Hope I can swing a few more weekend rides in the new year.

Of all the riding to be done Moto’s corner is like a main road. It’s got to be near one of the hardest corner to crash on the whole ride to Orange and back!

I take it that you went “up” after the pic with the bike in the hole pic…that is a good run, we did it in cars a while back. the view down to the hezbollah retreat are very spectacular…soon though I expect you won’t be able to stop there long for a look before the 7.62mm rounds start zinging over your heads!!!
