Just a bit of a “heads-up” to any folk that maybe thinking of venturing out to this area over the next week or two.
Have been reliably informed that NP&WS have closed some gates, in at least the Kanangra area, due to the water levels reaching an unsafe level.
I rode out to the Cox’s River on route to Jenolan on Tuesday this week to find the River pretty high and fast flowing.
As a result we decided that it might not be a good idea to continue on the planned route, and deviated to some other areas instead……I know……… probably a little soft you say.
This is not to say you can not ride out there, plenty of “choose your own adventures” still, but you will be limited as to where those adventures lead you!!!
And if you do head out over the hill this weekend, layer up, the cold is getting even colder, and whiter!!
