July 28, 2012 at 12:50 pm #226753Looks like Cluby & Steve are taking it easy today,,, still showing as in Gloucester right now while Kat & Amy are well underway towards Nowendoc & beyond
Oh well,, Clubby was saying he planned on sticking to his “Golden Chain” ways
July 28, 2012 at 1:19 pm #226852Steve was having tracker problems Eags so I reckon wait and see boys are pretty committed.
I actually thought the girls may have been away earlier this morning
TB
July 28, 2012 at 4:32 pm #226754I thought the same thing about the commitment.. It is clubbys spot i looked at & they were well  behind the girls start time,, more than an hour actually
July 28, 2012 at 5:11 pm #226855Yeah I don’t know Eags it’s all speculation at the moment as we know spots can be affected by fog heavy rain, thick cloud cover. The only send every 10 mins and if they miss tha for any of the above reasons well it’s missed. At least when you push the help button they transmit continually. Nick said the girls trackers had been tracking but stationary this morning (I was riding home) in Glouster, they could have been going through that second day morning thing where everything doesn’t seem to fit back on the bike
You maybe right because they girls stopped at Gingers Creek for a while (was starting to worry actually  ) but have left now, Steve’s tracker still had him there at 12.51pm putting the girls in front by about half an hour. Again all speculation really
Flying Fish reckons she will ring in of an evening after she talks with Mike and I will be talking with Steve so I will ba able to shed some light most evenings I hope.
Shit wish I was doing this ride now
TB
July 28, 2012 at 9:27 pm #226857Just been on the phone to Steve as I noticed his spot tracker isn’t moving. All is ok with him but he has lost his spot, it’s laying on the track happliy transmitting
Old bull rr001 (Andrew Hollis) has binned his 690 and broke his leg. Steve was at the site when. Spike with him. Clubby was dealing with a flat rear. Steve and Clubby have picked up a ride partner that being Steve Turnley (steve donated the holiday we auctioned at the birthday ride) Steve and Andrew went on the ADV ride at the Birthday ride
The girls seem to be almost at their overnight stay at Bellingen
More soon I am sure
TB
July 28, 2012 at 9:35 pm #226755:pinch: Damn,,, Andrew will be pissed with that !!!
He pedalled the 690 well on our adv ride for sure, maybe he was pushing a tad too hard for day2 of the 14 dayer ???? :whistle:I wish him well for a speedy recovery, His Spot shows him at the top ar Carrai State Forest, maybe they are still waiting on help, or is it just his bike left there for pickup ???
Poor blokeSounds like a good job for one of the north coast guys to pick up Steves Spot if it can be located
So for now, take Clubby`s Spot link to keep track of him & Steve I guess ,,,http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0LIYpJjdNIn5cKdzlOTLhObt6pD1BtM5B
July 28, 2012 at 10:15 pm #226865Amy just rang they are in Bello and are heading to the their accommodation. They have had a pretty trouble free run today. She is going to ring back do I will get some details soon.
No one I saw yesterday was really pushing it Eags I reckon concentration will get more than anything :pinch: It was a low side Steve thought. The cops were there when I was talking to Steve a couple of hrs ago so it must be on his bike there still
TB
July 28, 2012 at 10:21 pm #226756Yeah, I messaged AMY the same thing,, concentrate and eyes on the trail
They are doing well I reckon ,,,,Clubbys spot now has him at South Kempsey??? Way off the route  GOLDEN CHAIN Night maybe

Ok, I think the guys are now heading to stay with the girls outside Bello hey ???
Was that a detour due to the crash that Andrew had and the holdup on time maybe ???
I know that Clubby & Steve would have stayed till all was ok and help rendered (great sports they are)Man, it`s gonna be along two weeks if the action so far is an indication.
There have been a few breakdowns with other guys (broken shocks, forks playing up, diesel in fuel by mistake  , a few crashes, a roo hit (rider is ok) and forest trails closed due to down trees in Vic so diversion needed) etc etc etc
Also a couple of blokes left Goondiwindi with less than 350k of fuel on their bikes,,, needless to say they ran out :S :pinch: What`s doing there :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
