I see the Kawasaki dealership in Broadmeadow (Newcastle) caught fire last night with substantial damage. Might be some fire sale specials coming up soon. Might be a bit hard getting any kwaka parts locally for a little while too.

I find Cessnock heaps better service, Cherie up there has found me parts that Newcastle have told me are UNAVAILABLE,,,, figure that one out
And she gave me a discount as well which cancelled out the extra fuel to drive up thereWhenever you need something mate for the KLR, give them a ring, you might be surprised

Fire damages Broadmeadow Kawasaki dealership
11 Jan, 2010 10:18 AMABOUT 50 motorbikes and other stock worth more than $500,000 were damaged in a fire that ripped through a Broadmeadow dealership early this morning.
Police and firefighters are on scene at Kawasaki Newcastle and will attempt to discover the cause of the fire later today.
They are unable to enter the premises at the moment because of safety concerns.
Firefighters said they were called to the scene about 1.45am this morning and found the Lang Road dealership well alight.
The building was badly damaged by the fire, which destroyed an upstairs office and ripped through a mechanical workshop.
It’s understood the blaze began in the workshop and spread to other parts of the dealership.
Most of the 50 motorbikes at the dealership were damaged and will likely be written off, staff said.
Reports of flames coming from the Kawasaki Newcastle dealership were made about 1.45am and it took at least 10 crews to extinguish the flames.
There are estimates at least 30 per cent of the Lang Street building has been destroyed and structrual engineers have been called in to assess damage to the rest of the building.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for heat stress.
Newcastle City detectives will investigate the blaze.January 12, 2010 at 11:06 am #167937:blink: 50 bikes
That`s gotta hurt
And the poor owner is away on holidays at the moment
Wonder how many poor buggers had their rides in there for servicing ??? They will now have to wait for the insurances to get sorted to replace them  That sux
February 9, 2010 at 3:36 am #167938Sure does, but the guys in there are working their butts off to get all the customer’s with bikes settled asap. I’ve got a mate with a ninja 250 in for servicing.
They are also setting up a temporary shop right now. Its next door to their current shop. On the corner of Lambton Road and Lang Road. I saw some signs go up yesterday.
It must be so hard to start from scratch again.
