Damn, it’s not good to hear anyone has had a crash let alone someone you know. I’m glad he’s (relatively) okay and as others have said they heal quick at that age.

I hope to see you back out on the bike again soon Tim, all the best mate.

Yeah Smurf get well quick buddy, injuries suck bat!! :(

On another note when I arrived home I got news from my mother, one of my best mates from school came off his bike and died from his injuries. :( Apparently he wasnt wearing a helmet I dont know the full story yet but it just reinforces the danger of our sport and the importance of safety gear especially helmets.

    RIP Darryl ol mate

sorry to here it mate. i have a missing tooth from such an accident. but me and smurf are the lucky ones really

i also have mate who almost had his arm torn off. it is kind of back on now but with an incredible amount of pain. He still rides, but in a lot of pain (note: he no longer runs barkbusters)

i also lost a good mate’s who bleed to death in the bush at wallsend

both these mates did nothing wrong.

    Good advice. keep left.
May i also suggest running high visibility tape on the front of your bike and high visibility on your riding gear. i reckon bright orange is the best contrast against bush and sky.
