AnonymousFeel free, however, I have made my point. The majority of tyres that the majority of people use are motorcross based. I beleive this is a sufficient basis to confirm my first statement that you found so ‘funny’.
If I could have found information from the Bridgestone or Maxxis websites that showed a clear differentiation between enduro and motorcross I would have alreday posted that info up.

AnonymousIt’s all in the eye of the beholder. It’s a hard wearing tyre designed for prolonged use on hard pack terrain. If you ride hard and want good grip in doft loamy conditions it’s not the tyre I would recommend. If you ‘trailride’ a lot of fire trails and are happy to sacrifice some grip for good wear then it might be a better choice.
Personally if I was after the latter I would get a Pirelli Scorpion

AnonymousJuat an update with the Washougal. To date I am very happy with the performance of this tyre. I have covered around 700Km’s on it now with plenty of hard pack riding and a fair few road Km’s too.
The tyre grips consistently well in all conditions and also has a great wear rate. I still have plenty of knob left (yes I know very funny) albeit they are a bit rounded. I intend to use this tyre for the Pony Express that I will compete in on the 14th June I am that happy with it.
For an all round tyre you certainly can’t go wrong with one of these Washougals. I’ll be buying one again

Apparently they also make good necklaces as as I am typing this my wife is sitting at a railway station 4 hrs away wearing a washougal necklace:laugh:as they wouldnt let her put in with luggage. Glad you gave it a good report Moto as thats what I will riding with next ride (mind you it wouldn’t be hard to beat the Mitas I have on now:unsure: )

i run the millville sticky compound and reckon that it is an awesome tyre;) …. in saying that never run it on tar think it would last about 500 yards:ohmy:

Opinions good or bad are what makes sites like this so goodMate its already exciting me and its just sitting in back room :woohoo:, at least it has knobs on unlike the one coming off. As your Uncle Mike can testify to I didn’t have a real good time riding last sunday, probably a high percentage crud rider:silly:, but also didn’t help to have half the knobs torn off other tyre. For some strange reason my wife wasn’t happy when I gave the washougal a warmer greeting off the train than I did her, I just don’t understand women:S.

AnonymousSo you are still getting out with and Tomo then:) A decent tyre makes a big difference, I think you’ll like the Washougal.
Make sure you give Mike and Tom a big roost from me!
Your wife will gets used to it……slowly
July 10, 2009 at 7:30 pm #143114“Washougalsticky” and “Millville sticky”
Are there different compounds available in each of the lines (Carlsbad, Washougal & Millville etc)??If so, the old competition rule is: soft terrain – use a hard compound, hard terrain – use a soft compound, not sure till you get there – have a tyre ready on a spare wheel for each possibility.
You do have spare wheels don’t you?

No Tomo last week he has sold his bike and as for the wife she was willing to carry that tyre around in taxi’s and walk around Brissy with it and hold it on the train so top points to her:kiss: and no she isn’t standing behind me  .
