Picked up the Berg this morning, it was a cheap repair – $2100.00

They could not find much wrong with it engine wise it only needed 2 inlet values that were slightly worn replaced but I got them to do a few things while it was all in bits – new Rings, Valve Stems, Cam Chain, Rear Swing arm bearings, front wheel bearings, replaced all the gaskets, fully tune the bike with the baffle in etc, etc just to name a few things of the top of my head.

When it all boils down it looks like the big puff of smoke was my fault from all the research I have done. The smoke problem looks like it may have been caused by me putting to much oil in the night before when I did an oil filter & oil change. I put in the 1Lt of oil but may have not emptied the engine enough, I normally let it empty for about 30min’s or more when I do an oil change but i did not do that on this occasion, trying to do things in a hurry instead of taking my time…..Bugga

Apparently the Bergs do not like to much oil in them.

I just watched the video that was a shit stack, at least it didnt land on the pipe side.

I thought 2 strokes where lacking in top end speed, 144 is pretty fast. Is that with standard gearing?

The mechanic said I would have had to do the things that were done in the near future anyway, well it is all done now so all should be good for sometime….touch wood….

It is only money….hehehehe

yeah i know, a shit stack :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

it would peak 138k with the standard gears, 14:50

will now do 144k just with 14:48, and its better on gnarly hills too

and dickhead me, had a brain fade and ordered a 15 front by mistake this week. so its gonna be roughlt equivalent to 14:44 now, should nearly do the ton :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

i reckon it will be to tall now, ill probly stall it taking off :laugh:
