    Hi all,

Since the last “Kawasaki Post” was in May 2013 I assume either Kawasaki owners have no problems with their bikes or the owners are few and far between. I own a 2008 KLR650 and was keen to do something with the suspension before the High Country ADV Ride. Have rung Teknik a few times but have not heard back yet so was wondering what others may have done to improve their ride. Considering ordering either Progressive or Cogent from the States but would rather do something local if possible. Anyone know who to try ringing around Newcastle or Sydney? What worked for you and or what would you steer clear of? Cheers, Junior

Thanks TB, I know that when I rang last Friday and again Monday they were tied up with a 12hr race meeting. Will try again this week. Would still be interested to hear from anyone with a KLR who has gone the Teknik way and or anyone else close by. It would be great to be able to make a comparison.

I’d be keen to hear what happens here junior , I think the klr is a good thing and on my list of possible future toys :)

Hi Nick, I’m enjoying the KLR. I just get a bit ahead of myself on the track sometimes and the front bottoms hard on some washouts. Haven’t been on the dirt for long and am covering ground fuelled by a mixture of confidence and ignorance rather than style and technique. I find this gets me through most things and the rest is just entertainment.
I rang Teknik again this morning and Nick is confident he can sort my suspension. Have booked the bike in for early April and I’ll be one step closer to the High Country trip. I’m happier to be sourcing local and for the support that comes with it.
I realise the Klr isn’t for everyone, but it appears under represented locally on forums and parts lists. As a poverty pack entry into Adventure Riding it suits me for now.
