April 23, 2010 at 6:17 am #176862TB a young (ish these days) mate of mine has just set off overseas on a KTM Adv, bought a great second hand one already setup with hard luggage and all the gear like spotties etc, paid a premium, but it is the best in it’s class, and does have a good linkage system too.

Quote:That is a nice setup Dan for sure, those Andy Strapz bags are great mate but aren’t water proofThe KLR is very cheap and will do the job they have a loyal following that they deserve. I looked but decided I wanted something with a little more zing no offence to anyone please. Something I could wheel with a bit more pace when on my own, a little more suspension travel etc I know with NX at time I feel I wiould like something a little more capable if youknow what I mean. Although may not be has comfortable as the KLR, V Strom and BMW.
That said I would buy a KTM 640 Adventure if they still made them, maybe a low mileage 2007 would sway me
Good looking specs

AnonymousIf you want a ride on a KLR Corey and want to travel to Newy by all means feel free.
I have finally finished my racks for the Andy Strapz bags – the KLR looks the poo now all ready for adventure
(except for those stupid rubber foot pegs  )

April 25, 2010 at 11:08 am #177005Do you do much on yours Dan?
April 26, 2010 at 10:09 am #177006
AnonymousI dont ride it as much as much as I would like to Corey, but that will change once KD is back up to riding.
But if you meant doing much as in terrain, I mainly stay on fire trails, twin trail, its too wide and heavy to do single trail on (for me it is anyway  )
April 26, 2010 at 11:04 am #177030are you getting rid of the super tanker Corey?
