    Hi there,

I have done lots of mods on my (2010) KLX250. Let me know if you have done some further mods on yours. I think all I can do now is to improve the suspension package and I’m considering Teknik in Western Sydney.

    Performance mods:
351cc big bore kit (from Bill Blue)
Modified air box (snorkel and lid removed)
    Pumper carburettor (Mikuni TM34mm)
Barker exhaust system (header pipe + muffler)
Racing cams (Stage 3 from WebCams)
    Bigger (inlet and exhaust) valves
    Port job

    Adventure mods:
    GPS mount (Garmin Zumo 660)
    SPOT tracker mount
    12L fuel tank
Dunlop D952 (rear & front) tyres (with heavy duty tubes)
    Compact tail light
    Compact rear & front blinkers
    (rear brake pedal) snake line

    Protection mods:
    Bash plate
    Barkbusters hand guards
    TAG handle bars
    Front light shield

    Other mods:
    Pivot Pegz foot pegs
    Connection for battery (trickle) charger
Stainless steel braided (rear & front) brake lines

My bike is currently achieving peak power of 35hp (at 8,000rpm) and peak torque of 23 ft-lbs (at 7,500rpm). The power curve is broad (relatively flat from 8,000rpm until 10,500rpm where it remains above 30hp).

The bike is a pleasure to ride off-road as a result of generous torque and 30+hp .

    Cheers,

    Rocket

This sort of bike would have people having a bit of a smirk as your pulling it off the trailer to go for a ride and scratching there heads and asking questions on what sort of mods youve got done to it as the ride went on i love thes sort of bikes
