Well they would be wouldn’t they. I don’t have to repack bearings at all now
Repacking them even once a year is just additional work.I’m not saying it’s hard, I’m saying is additional work before you go getting your knickers in a twist

This will be my last post on this particular subject before it turns into another anti PDS thread.
November 30, 2009 at 2:50 am #163192I will not bag the maintance requirements of PDS Moto or will I bag PDS and you are correct it is most definitely one extra job

Moto i’m sure even PDS equiped bikes have bearings on the swingarm pivot points that need servicing. In my experiance these are the bearings that need the most attention. Takes me about another 10-15 minutes to do te pivot while im doing the swing arm. My previous two bike I had for 7 years each, never replaced a bearing.

Quote:I see a few KTM’s riding FMX and noticed recent that in the hands of Mr Anderson, Tye Simmonds, Mitch Austin and the other Coastal KTM guy (I forget his name)Dan McCoy I think they seem to go alright at the Super X.KTM say they are happy with and will keep the PDS for enduro, I think they will bring it out on the SX’s and then come up with some bull crap and follow to a linkage with the EXC’s.
From my points of view that just means a few more bearings I will have to replace.

AnonymousYeah that’s him Rat, well done
I also forgot Luke Bond, Phil Bond’s (the owner and head mechanic of Coastal KTM and Team Manager of Pacific Ink Coastal KTM) son. Although Luke doesn’t seem to be doing very well.December 1, 2009 at 1:05 am #163195

AnonymousSo do we know what he is riding yet? Is it a 300EXC, 530EXC or 505XC-W or something? He raced a 250 2 banger for a chunk of the GNCC before switching back to 4 banger…
