Hello DK,I read yesterday that you and BMW decided to split. To be honest, I was disapointed!
I need to explain my situation a little bit more for you to understand! As veteran rider (43years) in Mexico, I looked last year for a new bike. Finally I bought the GS also because one famous rider from the Isle of Men told me that the bike is very good!
Now after 6 month, I`m still competing with the bike (still happy!), but you split because it isn´t working out for you?
Is the bike I bought not running good? Don´t you think that we as loyal fans from you respect a little bit more information from your side?
Best wishes from Mexico!
Thomas

July 22, 2009 at 11:59 am #144972Words from DK, on his blog;
Well, unless u have been to the moon or somewhere u will know that I parted ways with BMW, and have now joined Kawasaki europe and the KSRT ( Kawasaki superbike racing team ), which is ran by Paul Bird Motorsport for the rest of 2009 at least.
First of all, i’d like to say thanks to all the guys at BMW, super people and a great team, but unfortunatly, I couldn’t get on with the bike, thus I didn’t have fun, and we were at a stage where the bike was pretty well developed as far as it can be unless a new bike was designed, so I was very limited to do what I needed too unfortunatly. Anyway the team offered a release, and I took it, its that simple. I always said if i’m not enjoying my riding, i’ll stop, riding bikes is my life, and doing it being miserable is not an option for me, not even for any amount of money!
July 23, 2009 at 6:38 am #143881I like the bit that says “i couldn’t get along with the bike”
I might have to use that next time the bike punts me off.

AnonymousI think I might go to KSRT I’m just not winning the championships I want with my KTM

I hope he goes well with KSRT but can’t help but feel he should have stayed with KTM or Honda
