December 15, 2012 at 11:55 am #233793first race at the Super Enduro World Champs he got 3rd first time out on the bike, postive signs ! better start then when he started with BMW that time
December 17, 2012 at 3:20 am #233797Hows that for a plug. ‘Not comfortable on the 500 (after lots of setup changing and countless $ I would imagine)’ ‘Rode friend’s Hondas and they felt comfortable’.
December 17, 2012 at 7:50 am #233919Mmmmm interesting
Did’nt like that 500 Kato did he
December 21, 2012 at 3:23 am #233794Makes me laugh, he kept wanting them to smooth the delivery out as it was too abrupt on surfaces that offer little grip. Typical factory bike, stock is not good enough so lets give it MORE power and see how fast they go.
He still loves the 300, looks really good on it considering the size of Knighter but he needs a 450 plus machine to be competitive in WEC to lug his heavy arse.December 21, 2012 at 11:54 am #233920axel wrote:Hows that for a plug. ‘Not comfortable on the 500 (after lots of setup changing and countless $ I would imagine)’ ‘Rode friend’s Hondas and they felt comfortable’.Whinging like the pommy/manxman that he is 😆
Toby Price did alright on the 500
December 21, 2012 at 12:15 pm #234316He can ride a bike but he does come across as a whinger.

December 21, 2012 at 12:35 pm #233795Fast forward to 2014,
“i didn’t gel with the Honda it’s power didn’t suit my style and i didn’t win anything, but rode my mates (insert bike here) and its awesome”
He should have got a ktm freeride for smooth delivery.
December 21, 2012 at 1:06 pm #233796Toby comes from an MX background and likes an aggressive bike in both power delivery and suspension. Knight is a trials rider who adapted to Enduro, he’s getting on in years now but is no slug. Like Stoner he tells it how it is and it comes across as whinging about the machine. Personally I think it’s ok for a rider to speak freely about how they are struggling with setup. Better that than the stiff upper lip attitude.

I like to hear the troubles they are having and what they do to overcome them. At their level the smallest adjustment would be very noticeable, having a new bike with new engine and frame is a massive change, if you don’t like it, you don’t like it.
He’s an awesome rider and I’m sure he’ll do we’ll on the Honda.
