    Reeksy’s mate disconnected his e-start.

A top weekend was had as usual. Dusty conditions Saturday, then a few showers that night making for a good morning loop before the dust returned for the arvo loop.

Good to catch up with Old Bulls Axel & Grant from Dubbo.

I was able to get a few riding tips from Reeksy the TrailZone Pro rider.

Great weekend. Nice to see you blokes again, it’s been a while between rides.
Thought this would be a nice casual trail ride to ease back into it. Not so casual at my current fitness level. Lots of tight single track (like 80%), very much in my opinion a ride worthy of state rounds/titles. Awesome. Would have to be one of, if not the best “organised weekend ride” I’ve been on.
I still feel a bit second hand today and that’s only after the riding 2 loops (130km).

    The hard hill on Sunday.

That spot you got stuck at the first time looks to be the same spot I got stuck when I was there in 2010 and flipped the old DRZ trying to get going again.

There was only 1 other bike trying to get up when I was there so I didn’t realise at the time it created so much “carnage”. Makes me feel pretty good about getting up pretty easily on the second attempt.

I thought the same Axel, there was nothing that was difficult to ride over but I was still tired by the end of the weekend.
    I don’t feel so bad now ;)
I had a great weekend and enjoyed the ride but slept real well on Sunday night.

I did this ride again this year, too much single IMO, you don’t get a rest, that’s what wears you out.
A lot of it is not easy flowing single either.
It seems every year they add single and take out open trail.

It was a good ride sure but I might avoid it and do the Batemans bay ride instead now.

I can see Beemer’s point. It’s not for everyone. More to the point, it doesn’t have something for everyone. But if you like tight single trail then this is the only paid event you would do each year. I’ll go again for sure, more prepared this time.

Rocket you would like this ride.
I’d say pro riders would be happy. If you could ride both loops at race pace twice (~250km) each day then your ready for full time racing.

Galey you have some more vids?

    Some singles.

Axel is right. It has a bit of single but then again you could ride the south loop (Easiest) all weekend.

I give the DSMRA guys in Canberra credit for putting in more st , just a bit tight though.

Axel, check my youtube channel for more vids to come.
