Well another one done and dusted…. Total k’s for the day was 435….The loop Wiseman to Wiseman was around 330..

Left home around 6:45 am and fuel’d up along the way… Was at Wisemans shortly after 7:30am and within about 5 minutes TenereTravelers rode up… A short hello, meet and greet, check out our bikes moment and off we went… The ride along Bicnentenary/Wheel Barrow was quick and then up the putty rd.. We got to the Putty rd turn off around 9:20am or so I think… We stopped for short while and then off again….

The loop through putty then connecting to the commission rd was a lot of fun… Man there were a lot of diversion humps.. I took the opportunity on the smaller ones to launch the bike to see how it felt with all the weight and if the bags were going to stay on good and tight… No problems at all and the bike handled good… The steering damper made a big difference.. I noticed it easily… I spent the first 1/2 hour on dirt plowing into and over everything I found to see how the front would react… It definately works.. :P The putty/commission loop took us along time about 2 hours I reckon…

When we got back to the putty rd we headed up again and ducked into the Howes trail.. Bloody gates.. Again with all the water diversion humps.. I didn’t recall so many but the whole trail is nothing but diversion humps…. Would have been a lot of fun in normal setup but with all the weight and the 30k’s of diversion humps along the putty/commission loop earlier and I was over em… Arms were feeling it as were the legs… Eventually we connected to the finekee something or another track that took us to Laguna…

We finally arrived at Laguna around 12:30pm or so.. Stripped down a bit and then had a pie and bag of chips and good conversation for about an hour or so… Thanks for lunch TenereTravelers!!! The ride back to wisemans was the usual run via St. Albans… There was a lot of traffic on the roads this weekend. I never came across so many cars all the other times I rode this way…

We made it back to wisemans and said our goodbyes… It was great day and the weather was really good.. A bit on the brisk side but we stayed dry… TenereTravelers took a half a dozen or more pics.. I forgot my camera..

Looking forward to next weekends overnighter as it will be the last ride for me until the Cameron Corner ride…

Thanks for coming along TenereTravelers and hope to ride with you again…

    Hi Krusty,

thanks for a great day out mate. I was most impressed with how a fully loaded bike can fly  For those who do not know, the man is quick in the dirt and it was good to have somebody in front that knows the area!

I had a couple of “Oh shit” moments where the road turned into about 2 cm layers of slime, mostly in dark corners due to yesterday’s rain. Thankfully I managed to keep upright and keep the pace (kinda) when grip returned 😆

Here is a link to all the photos uploaded (I now have to make good on a promise to take my lovely wife out for a bite to eat).

Thanks Krusty & I am looking forward to the next one ;)

    Cheers, TT

That isn’t a seat concepts Scotty..  I had it made last year before Camerons.. I gave the guy the seat concepts photo and he made up some foam for me… I think the photos are in me Banana thread…

Mickp got the seat concepts for the 690… He likes it… Others that I have spoken to who have used it all like it.. I reckon it would be worth the coin… I have thought about getting one as mine is nice but it is too tall and makes getting on the bike a bit more challenging… :P

    Hi Krusty,

what was your fuel consumption for the trip?

Mine worked out to 414 km traveled door to door and I got 21.6 km/l. This is indecently the worst fuel consumption I have had in 10,000 km but given that our trip was also the most 1, 2, 3 gear changes made in my life, it would explain it

Hasn`t been much more sun since then really & the trail might be locked a lot more than it is opened
