Member Bean has an ’07 300exc and wants to put a radiator fan on it but can’t find any kits that are specific. Anyone have or know anyone that has come up with a solution? Also there is very little room behind those rads. I don’t like the chances.
    Cheers

“I installed a Spal OEM fan on my 2005 KTM. Under the tank, near the ignition coil there was an unused connector with a yellow/red (positive) wire and a brown (negative) wire going to it. This is the fan connector. I just put my fan in with a simple on/off switch next to the display panel, which I switch on when tackling slow, technical terrain.
Haven’t boiled once since installing the fanĀ “

If you want a simple thermo switch. Jayca, altronics and elec stockests. Will be able to get in a small switch in from mem 60, 70, 80and 90c settings. I had replaced the std switch that failed on the Ag4 :p

They are about the size of a coke bottle cap. I run an 80c one. It failed in time but was only around the $10 mark.

A computer fan could be used. But theyre not water or dust proof.

A call to some wreckers may turn up a suitable fan. The 640 fan is quite small and reasonably thin.

Thanks XY. I thought only 08 onward had the power connector. It’s no big deal as this 07 has a battery. We are thinking of running a relay of sorts off the headlight power and a manual on/off. If the bike is not running the fan will turn off to save the battery if switch left on.
