After 1200 odd ks and 30 somethin hours I still have trouble starting in gear, never had that on any other bike, I was told it would loosen up and be O.K but still the same, however if I do get it started in gear it doesn’t want to take off on me? It’s only really a pain when stuck on a narly hill trying to find neutral, I actually flattened the battery on one ride trying to get it started.

I don’t think it’s normal and may speak to suttos again.

    Cheers
    Chris.

I’d have a look at basket wear Murph, have you ever filed the clutch basket fingers? the plates might be getting caught in the wear notches.Have similar issue every now and then.

Took me a bottle of Turkey to do the work last night :woohoo:
Looks like another bottle to have a closer look at the clutch tomorrow ;)

I concur with TB & Twobanger, something else is going on here, fingers or warped plates?

Well I have done as much as I can do ;)
Bled clutch using brake fluid (Dickhead) Then rebled system with correct hydraulic oil :) Removed clutch cover and measured each plate all coming in within tollerance. They are 2mm new and mine were 1.95. Tollerance 1.9 so all good there. No worn fingers or basket. Pushrod and thrust race all good. Put it all back together and problem is slightly better, at least it didn’t fall off the stand when first was selected. Found it to be much better when engine temp is up to normal :)
Bloody hard to come to terms with the price of the Motorex hydraulic oil $15 for 100ml but thats what the manual recomends ;)
Still have v/v clearances to check and new rear rubber hoop to fit :silly:
    Thanks for everybodys input
    Cheers
    Murph
