At least it will help them grow and develop into other areas there has been talk for sometime that they were getting into cars. This should help with increased capital for new projects like their new station wagon

May 12, 2010 at 4:55 am #178861dose this mean the exhaust note will now have an annoying undeterminable note?
you wont be able to work out what it is running like as it will be hard to understand? sort of a rapid fire mumble? :silly:
and the bike will say it can get you where you want to go but have no idea?
and now instead of the smell of castor from the 2T’s it will be peanut oil with a hint of coriander and cumin seed?
and will they all have a red dot on the head light shroud?
if the gasgas 450 pampera was to go the same way it woulda turned out the 450 pupadom :pinch:
guess i’ll put off looking at a new 3hunded iecsi until the quality control is proven

Considering the infastructure to produce them is already in place at other locations. It would cost a bomb to move operations dont you think?Think you would find that it would be a cheap set up and dirt cheap labour so they might move the entire shop there

Thats been my thought all along, I reckon they started producing certain bikes and engines there a while ago because of cheaper costs. So if its cheap and they are the major share holder why not do it cheaper and under your nose. KTM asked them to purchase 90% it said in the article so they are looking to get out so they wouldnt fight it you would think??

May 12, 2010 at 6:28 am #178867May 12, 2010 at 11:02 am #178869some of you avid readers might know that im a big cricket fan.
i was thinking about this thread today and a funny little memory came back to me…
anyone that watches cricket, especially the IPL in india, would have definately seen the big red and white banners filling their grounds, advertising…
HERO HONDA!
it seems that honda have been making bikes in india since before 1984, at their main sweat shop factory in new delhi and a few other places around the slums. in fact, in 2001 it produced 1.3 million motorbikes in a single year…and all of them are shit
their most popular curry burner is called the “splendor”  …but i bet it isnt to ride
it should also be noted that most of their bikes over there have engines based on XR250 donks, but with smaller top ends to make them even more gutless and shitterer than their aussie cousins :woohoo:
A popular advertising campaign in india based on the slogan ‘Fill it – Shut it – Forget it’ worked great for achieving high sales……in australia ‘and Burn it’ was added to help
heres a pic of clarky smashing a curry bowl out of the park…with HERO HONDA on the fence behind him…go clarky
heres a pic of a HERO HONDA “HUNK” (yes that is its real name   ) pictured next to a BRP, they look very similar to me… (note the BMW pack mule they also have with them)
and here is the latest model HUNK..(with twin PDS)
heres the ‘limited edition’ model in punjabi pink…
its funny how this bowling machine can bowl faster than a Hunk’s top speed…(of 120km/h)
some of the funky model names are beyond me…
theres the…
Achiever (you wish)
Ambition 133, Ambition 135 (every honda rider needs this)
CBZ Star, CBZ Xtreme (its fooly Xtreme)
CD 100 SS, CD Dawn, CD Deluxe, (no comment needed)
Glamour, Glamour F.I (stands for F**king Idiots)
Hunk
Joy (not)
Passion, Passion+, Passion Pro (hot as a red curry)
Pleasure (not)
Street (it’ll get em all belly dancing)
Splendor, Splendor+, Splendor+ (Limited Edition), Super Splendor, Splendor NXG (too much splendor is never enough)and the mighty…
Karizma, Karizma R, Karizma ZMR FI (pictured below)
this weird-o beard-o dude is just dripping karizma isnt he?? :laugh:of course all bikes come standard with these two handy accessories..
the official HERO HONDA cricket bat, its pre knocked in and handy to beat the Hero out when (thats WHEN, not if) it catches fire…“hey punjabs, do i need to wear a helmet when i smash out my pink pleasure hunk?”
and the official “Ghandi pole dancing kit”
to be used to ‘spice up life’ if you dont have enough Xtreme ambition, hunky joy glamour, karizma passion or street super pleasure   :laugh:so, it would seem that KTM isnt the only brand of bike thats made in the substandardcontinent.
and before you laugh Boony, some suzy’s are made there too
so to all you lucky honda riders out there, you really are the original..

May 12, 2010 at 11:14 am #178925It have learnt through the bicycle industry that it matters not a bit who owns something or where it is bulit but the product managers responsible. Take an African owned company built in Cambodia but designed by the best minds in the trade and you will have good product.
I certainly can’t see an era where KTM will be sold in Kmart.I do enjoy the whole KTM poo pooing though so don’t let me interupt it
