Does any one have a KTM lower Triple Clamp to Suit KTM LC4 640 05 mod

I just pulled my fork apart to re seal and found one of the lower sides of the Triple Clamp to be a tad looser than they should be. Found a crack most of the way through.

    Diameter is 60mm
    Centre Distance 190mm

2 1/2 week till the Next GPS Ride PLEASE HELP

    Gav I’ve got one but it attached to a DR650 B) B)

I suppose you have checked, a new one is about $300 if available in AU

Coffs JDK M/C wreckers have a complete set off an 04 LC$ for $300, but they may only be for 57mm forks. The adventures look to have larger forks

I’d probably put it back together, put a SS hose clamp around it until the new clamp arrived.

    Ok …

There are CNC machined Billet Triple Clamps 22mm Offset. Reasonable Price.
Original offset is 19mm I think.

Question ? What difference will this make to performance ?

3mm bigger mmmmmm

Off set will alter how it steers Gav, steeper off set steers better but more twitchy at high speed and vice versa

Apparently the angle on these is the same. The offset is how far forward the fork centreline is from the pivot centre line. What is 3mm among friends…..

Gav it makes a biggg difference – you can notice quite a difference even when you move the forks up/down in the triple grips 10mm which changes the rake of the forks.

Pushing them down slows the steering (more stable at higher speed but slower to turn at slow speeds)

So if you have an extra 3mm it will have a much more noticeable affect than just pushing your forks down and make it slower to turn in the slower tighter stuff.
