I spoke with Tryhard at the Xmas ride about his 530, he thinks it’s more like a tractor than a 450 that likes to rev.
It showed on a hill we were helping people through, Rocket & Tryhard just idled through on the 530’s where the smaller bikes needed a few more revs to get them through.
He also said it doesn’t have the hit that a 450 has in the mid range.
As for WR’s, reliable is the best word to describe them (we’ve got an 07 with 13000k), don’t excel anywhere, great alround package (magazines still say so). Most Yamaha dealers I wouldn’t feed.
KTM’s price on OEM parts is a little inflated compared to most other brands. Yamaha aren’t far off.
