Well it was decided that after the recent purchase of my young fellas(Justyn) new bike, that before the next race day he would do a coaching school with Dave.
Dave holds schools most school holidays. well the combination of the new bike & Daves coaching ability,by the end of the day Justyn’s speed around the track compared to when he was on his old bike had more than doubled & with Dave’s coaching had him clearing the table tops.
I was so impressed with how far Justyn had come with Dave’s tuition that the next day it was my Daughter’s (Jamie)turn. I threw my hand up to have a lesson as well same result’s again & i am now not as much of a gumby rider anymore 😆 .
It was money well spent for me & my kids. anyone thinking of getting some coaching give Dave a call he might fall of a lot but knows what he is talking about when it comes to coaching.
thanks Dave you have helped me & my kids heaps & it wont be long & I will leaving you behind on the trailsOctober 11, 2009 at 9:58 am #156023
AnonymousThat’s good to hear Puddles. I am also keen to do one of Rat’s schools because I think he does one to cater for the girly riders. I talked to him about this at the Xmas party so hopefully he will post up when the next one is. I try and pick up a little bit from everyone.
TB took me out one day for a coaching session which I picked up a few techniques and make sure that I use them.
Chris from Sutto’s gave me a few pointers regarding positioning on the bike.
Training Wheels gave me some pointers regarding braking yesterday.
I figure one day I’ll be able to pull it all together

October 11, 2009 at 11:39 am #156024Ahh Thanks Guys, I am all at a loss for words, I love teaching people how to ride properly, its something I can relate to, Some of the the best rewards can be found on these coaching days, and Kylie I would have loved to try and get together at Louee but every time I tried it didnt happen, The same thing happened with Tyne, Maybe next time,
Puds it true Mate that Turtles can fly, when we did that Jump session you ripped your helmet off quick smart saying there was no way you were going to jump, But nearly 45 mins later you had to be dragged off the Jumps by your daughter because you would miss lunch, It is all easy when you do it right, and Jus well he has blown me away, That new bike has made a world of difference….you know the deal….when you are done with it return it OKBull My Man, you have been a real pleasure to teach, never have I seen such a self critical student, I think I should hold back a little the next school, with you, and I love playing Bike chess with you mate, I never know how far to go because you always reply, I have to step over to insane to get past you….Cool ….bring it on.
I cant wait for the next ones.
Bull I am doing a school week after next , so you will have to come to it if you can,

AnonymousHey Squirrel, Daves crash at Louee had more style to it then the fat ladies.
What I liked the most about Daves crash was the big jetstar jump as the dust was clearing – I guess you had to be where I was standing to appreciate it.
