KTM Stand Repair

Those of you who own a late model KTM would know that the bottom of the stand is plastic. At the last ride at Coffs I broke the bottom off my stand. I kept the part that broke off and repaired it in about 10min.
I drilled the bottom of the stand, taped a thread in the plastic and installed a 6 x 1mm helicoil I then drilled the foot and installed a 6mm SHC screw (with Loctite) 25mm long. If it lasts the test of time it will save me around $170 for a new stand. :whistle: :whistle:

Great work Lefty

Can’t help but think but on the last Coffs ride if you bike didn’t spend so much time broken down sitting on it side stand it may not have broken :laugh: :pinch:
