Its a sign of the tough economic climate and really it makes sense to make all the engine parts out of the same place to reduce overheads.
I too am a sorry to see the loss of the 70 degree motor but the new 500 motor is good and the package handles very well, not to mention it makes my 570 feel fat.
I reckon there will be a 1-2 transition period then Berg will unleash a bigger bore bike again using the KTM castings and assembly line.
At least you get more value for money with the Berg even of it a blue KTM. It’s like buying a 6 days KTM but for $1000 cheaper and without the need to have ‘Germany’ written on your bike, another big bonus
